Last weekend we took Kaden to NC-5 and 1/2 hour drive- to the Day Out with Thomas 2008. We left Friday after Kaden and I were done with preschool and spent the night there so we'd be ready for the day on Sat. Of course Kaden's all about staying in a hotel with a "hot pool" as he calls a hot tub. The weather wasn't great but Kaden didn't care. The NC Transportation Museum had a lot of trains to look at plus several things for the kids to do. Plus of course there was the train ride on the actual Thomas the Train.

Trying Soccer Again
Kaden finally decided to play in his game!! It was so much better then his first game. He didn't cry. He didn't stand in the middle of the field and refuse to move. He actually ran around with the other kids. And most importantly, he looked like he was having fun!

Another Soccer Season
My thought was that I would have all these great pictures or maybe a video clip of Kaden playing his first soccer game here in Va Bch., but as you can see-nothing. I think that I was way too optimistic. He actually has a really great coach this time who knows what she's doing. He's been participating in practices. He has a friend, Alyssa, who is on his team. They only play 3-on-3 during the actual games so that everyone gets a chance to play and kick the ball. However, I guess the bad memories of last spring's soccer came back to him as his game started on Saturday and he froze. Literally. He didn't move. Bless her heart, the coach tried to get him to move and run with the other kids and gave him a chance to kick the ball, but nothing. He just stood in the middle of the field. So his time was up and he went and sat over with the rest of the team and cried for most of the rest of the game. He could have gone in again, but refused to. So much for starting fresh. Maybe soccer just isn't his thing.
