Playing in the Snow (I think it was in Feb.)

We finally had enough snow for Papaw to get out the 4-wheeler and pull Kaden, Kyle and Kara on sleds. Kaden loved playing in the snow. It was the first time that he'd really been out in it.

5 Months Later....

Well, it's 5 months since my last post-and yes I'm still alive. : ) Quick update for my loyal readers who haven't completely given up on our family site: It's July and we are all living in Virginia Beach. We bought a house (I'll post some pics) close to where we used to live. I finished up my teaching contract with Wayne Twnshp. in May and am probably not going to teach this upcoming year. We've enrolled Kaden in a preschool at a church here. He'll be going 3 days a week for 4 hrs.- as long as I can get him fully potty trained before then. We're working on it and it's finally getting better... Daddy had spine surgery (C6 & C7 fused together) at the beginning of June, from which he is still recovering from, but is doing well. We're working on trying to get the house together and get adjusted to life back at the beach. Kaden's doing well living here with only a few days of really missing back home. It's hard for a 3 year old to understand the distance thing. That's about all I can think of at the moment. I'll try to get pictures on here today if possible!

Kaden's 3rd Birthday

We had Kaden's 3rd birthday party at Bouncertown. He had several of his friends there and he had a great time. He had a monster truck themed birthday. It was pure chaos so I guess that's a sign of success. : )

Christmas Pictures (Yes, I know-it's February)

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from Christmas. I know it's February, but as usual, I'm way behind.

Kaden's daddy came here for Christmas and we celebrated his 37th birthday. Of course when Kaden helped him blow out this birthday candles, he pushed his head into the cake which did not make Kaden happy at all.

We went down to see family (Granny and mom) in KY. Then we came back for Christmas here in Indiana.

After Christmas, Kaden and I flew back to Va Beach with Daddy for a week. Kaden got to spend some time with "his girls", Ashlynn and Alyssa.

Kaden and I went over to my sister's house to carve pumpkins. At first he wouldn't touch the pumpkins and refused to help me, but after a while he finally decided that it wasn't too "yucky" for him to touch. (It didn't help that my sister was throwing pumpkin guts on him the entire time!)

Kaden dressed up as a dragon for Halloween and went trick or treating with his cousin's Kyle and Kara. This was the first year that he was scared of all of the other kids and would actually go up to the houses to get candy.
Aunt Suzanne gave Kaden some fish out of one of her tanks. Kaden loves to watch them eat. And he says that they are talking to each other. Too cute!

Wild Animal Park/Sea World

While we were in San Diego, we took Kaden to the Wild Animal Park and Sea World. He loves looking at the animals and especially getting splashes by Shamu (he calls the whales "Shampoo") ; )

I took Kaden to his first "big" movie at the movie theater. Of course it was Thomas the Train. He did really well so I think that I can start taking him to more movies in the future!

Over my fall break from school, Kaden and I flew to San Diego to see Daddy and our friends. We took the kids: Kaden, Viv, and Georgia to a fall festival. They got to paint trick-or-treat bags, play games, and play in a bouncer house.

Kaden and Daddy went swimming just about every day that we were in San Diego. Kate bought the kids Halloween/Dress-up outfits. Viv is a princess bride and go figure, Kaden is Thomas. He loved it! He's still wearing it around the house pretending to be a train!

Lots of New Pics!

It's been forever since I've posted anything or any pictures. I guess that's what happens when I go back to work full time. Anyway, I have a bunch of pictures that I finally downloaded from my camera so here it goes. . .

Kaden loves the Disney store at the mall. We have to stop in there every time that we go to the mall. Here, he's with his cousins, Kyle and Kara.

Kaden likes to ride the 4 wheeler with Papaw.

The sitter's daughter, Macy, likes to use Kaden as a dress up doll!

Kara's Birthday Party

We celebrated Kara's 9th birthday with her at the skating rink. It was Kaden's first time roller skating and he actually didn't do too bad. I was more concerned that I was going to fall on him then I was about him falling down!!
