Trying Soccer Again
Kaden finally decided to play in his game!! It was so much better then his first game. He didn't cry. He didn't stand in the middle of the field and refuse to move. He actually ran around with the other kids. And most importantly, he looked like he was having fun!

Another Soccer Season
My thought was that I would have all these great pictures or maybe a video clip of Kaden playing his first soccer game here in Va Bch., but as you can see-nothing. I think that I was way too optimistic. He actually has a really great coach this time who knows what she's doing. He's been participating in practices. He has a friend, Alyssa, who is on his team. They only play 3-on-3 during the actual games so that everyone gets a chance to play and kick the ball. However, I guess the bad memories of last spring's soccer came back to him as his game started on Saturday and he froze. Literally. He didn't move. Bless her heart, the coach tried to get him to move and run with the other kids and gave him a chance to kick the ball, but nothing. He just stood in the middle of the field. So his time was up and he went and sat over with the rest of the team and cried for most of the rest of the game. He could have gone in again, but refused to. So much for starting fresh. Maybe soccer just isn't his thing.

Ocean Breeze/Busch Gardens
We took Kaden to Ocean Breeze Waterpark and Busch Gardens last week. We thought that he'd be scared of the waterslides but of course he wanted to go down all of them, even the ones he was too little to go down. They had a pretty big one that small kids could go down with a life jacket on, but they had to go on their own rafts. We (dumb us) thought that meant that one of use could at least hold on to Kaden's raft and go down together. Oh no. The lifeguard threw Kaden on his raft and sent him down by himself. I was so freaked out that Kaden was going to be scarred for life. Little did I know we would be going up those tower of stairs at least 20 more times that day! Busch Gardens wasn't quite as much fun for Kaden. Too much walking and the loud roller coaster really freaked him out. At least we all got to spend the day together!

Grandma & Papaw's Visit
Beach Trip
We took Kaden to the beach on July 12th. It was the first time that he'd been to the beach in well over a year. We tried to get him to go out into the water but he didn't venture too far. He was much more content on playing in the sand and flying his kite (that his aunt Suzanne got him at Disney) with Daddy.
