Decor

This is why I can't have any "pretties" on my coffee table. I guess that I'll have to settle for something handsome. : )

Spring Cleaning

Kaden decided to help me "swifer" dust/clean his toy room.

Until he realized that there were toys in the room and I lost him. . . Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. : )

Words Women Use

My friend, Sarah, emailed this to me. If men would just memorize this, life would be so much simpler. : )

Words Women Use:

1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, "what's wrong", for the woman's response refer to # 3.

San Diego Visit

Over the weekend Kaden and I drove to San Diego to visit our friends, Kate, Vivienne, and Georgia. Friday afternoon, Kate and I took the kids to an amusement park down at the beach where Kaden and Viv rode some rides. It was freezing, but the kids had a blast. Kate was even brave enough to take Viv and Kaden on the Tilt-A-Whirl while I watched the baby. They were the only people on the ride so the operator just let the ride keep going and going until we thought that Kaden was going to puke so Kate had to yell for the guy to stop the ride. It was pretty funny.

Friday night after bath time, Kate put Viv's hair up in some sort of turban twisty thing that's supposed to dry your hair. Of course we couldn't resist putting one on Kaden's hair. We knew it'd make Daddy proud. : )

On Saturday, we went to the San Diego Zoo. The weather was great and the kids had a great time! It's a really nice zoo!

Trying to Catch Up!

I know, I know. I've been terrible at keeping this thing updated since I've been back from Indiana. It's really hard to be motivated to do anything when you're living in Yuma. Life is very, very, very slow. So here's a bunch of pictures to get you updated on Kaden. : )

Before we left Indiana, we had an early mini-birthday party for Kaden. Grandma Wells made the cake. Of course Kaden had to play with the car toppers for several days before we were able to get the away from him to use them. For those of you around mom, you'll have to ask her how to spell the word "Birthday." (Love you Mom!! ; )

Kaden thought that digging his fingers into the icing was pretty cool. It's an improvement over his first birthday when he wouldn't even touch his birthday cake. Still didn't have any luck getting him to blow out his candle though.

Aunt Suzanne bought Kaden an electric guitar for his birthday. Daddy was so excited to hear that Kaden has yet another toy that makes noise!!

When we got back to Yuma, Kaden had more Christmas presents waiting for him from his Grandpa and Grandma Ingham.

On Kaden's birthday, I took cupcakes into his preschool for all of his friends to have. He had made a crown that said "I am two!" Plus, I had bought him a button for him to wear that read, "I am two today!" They all sang "Happy Birthday" to him and he clapped for himself.

I made Kaden a birthday cake on his actual birthday and we actually got him to blow out the candles!! We cheered and cheered for him. That being said, we then had to relight and blow them out at least 10 more times before he was satisfied.

Kaden received even more birthday presents from his friends Ashlynn and Alyssa. They got him lots of Dora stuff, which he absolutely loves and Daddy hates. Ha! Ha! And then his friend Viv got to come over from San Diego and they celebrated their birthdays together (her's was on Feb. 12th) at Chuck E Cheese's. Needless to say, he's had more of a birthday month then just a day. And between Christmas and his birthday, our house is starting to look like a daycare! It's ridiculous. What's even worse is that he still gets in my drawers and cabinets and plays with the tupperware and straws!! Go figure!

Finally Finished

Wow! That took a lot longer than I thought. Not the moving part, the getting our internet transferred a half a mile down the road part. Anyway, we did get moved into our new house and yes I will post pics sometime this week. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are alive and well. Tired, but alive. : )

Still Moving. . .

This will be my last post for a few days because I have to dismantle our computer today and it'll be a few days before they get the internet hooked up at our new house. I believe that we'll have the same phone number at our new house, but we haven't called about that yet. I don't see why we wouldn't, but I've found that sometimes it's the simple things that utility companies make complicated. Our cell phones actually work on the base now so if for some reason you can't get a hold of us on our home phone, call our cell(s). Our plan is to be fairly situated by next Wednesday which is Kaden's birthday. I'll post pics of our new place as soon as I can!!

Time Flies!

Over the weekend we celebrated Kyle's 11th birthday. I can't believe that it's been 11 years since he was born. I remember just like it was yesterday when Suzanne was as big as a barn (she's going to love that) waiting to have him. What's even more amazing is that I can remember that, but I can't remember my own telephone number. : ) Mom decorated Kyle's birthday cake. It turned out really good even though I was the one who baked it. Scary thought.
